CHARLESTON COUNTY -- Major John Clark, with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, says Tommy Clack, a paving contractor we've been reporting on for several years, was arrested Tuesday by federal agents.

Major Clark was not sure which agency is responsible for the arrest or exactly where Clack was picked up.

Clack has a long history of pressuring customers into expensive paving work in Horry, Florence, and Darlington counties.

He's banned from residential paving in North Carolina, and we're told he could face charges in Maryland and Florida.

He is currently in the Charleston County Detention Center. We are trying to find out what charges he faces.

You can read all our previous stories about Tommy Clack here.
