Charges pending for man who drove truck into river after a carjacking

A North Carolina man police say carjacked two people, caused two crashes, and eventually landed in the Waccamaw River Wednesday is still recovering in the hospital.

Horry County Police Spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler tells NewsChannel 15 warrants have been issued for 44-year-old Gregory Allen Spry but he won't be served until he arrives at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

He will be charged with six counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, six counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, and two counts of carjacking.
