Severe storms erupted across the area Tuesday afternoon producing unusually large hail ranging in size from marbles to baseballs.  There was also a report of softball size hail in Conway.  If this 4.5" diameter hailstone verifies, it would go in the record books as the largest hailstone ever in South Carolina.  We'll wait to get official word from the National Weather Service.

Unfortunately, we had many reports of dented cars and broken windows.

Another round of storms came through overnight with strong winds, some hail and a tremendous amount of lightning and rain.

Here's some of the 100 photos we received Tuesday.
