Volunteers from across the country are in Myrtle Beach the next few days refurbishing the Children's Recovery Center.
The CRC is a non-profit organization that conducts forensic exams, counseling and legal support to sexually abused children.
Volunteers are doing 75 percent of the renovations, and they hope to do in just 48 hours. That's because Saturday, the CRC is planning a celebration. They'll have educational games for children to show them body awareness. And adults can learn how to recognize the signs of abuse. There will also an Easter egg hunt, an inflatable bounce house and speakers. The event starts at 10 a.m.
Volunteers are sound-proofing interview rooms, making repairs, moving in new furniture and landscaping. It's part of a project by the Legacy Center in Morrisville, NC.
Volunteers are still needed. They start work at 7:15 a.m. each day. The Children's Recovery Center is at 1801 Legion Street in Myrtle Beach.
