HORRY COUNTY -- Two former Horry County police officers admitted to being paid for special assignments they didn't work.

Gordon Wesley Harris and David Rexroad pleaded guilty to obtaining goods by false pretenses of less than $1,000.

Prosecutors say the men were given a suspended sentence, on the condition they make restitution. They also agreed to give up their law enforcement certification and not attempt to regain it for 25 years.

The men got paid for patrolling the Prestwick community in December 2009 when they were not actually there.
