Two charged with attempted murder in Georgetown County robbery

Georgetown County deputies say Amon Devon Knowlin, 24, and Jomar Tari Bennett, 29, both of Georgetown held up the Deep Grocery convenience store on Georgetown Highway on November 11, 2010.

Deputies say the two were armed with handguns and demanded money from the store owner. Authorities add that one of the men shot the owner in the leg and they got off with some cash.

Deputies charged both of the men with armed robbery, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

They're being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center on a $85,000 bond.
