CONWAY -- Conway police charged Dan Howard Spivey, 30, of Aynor and Antonio Dexter Smith, 23, of Galivants Ferry for a shooting that occurred just before midnight Sunday in the 1500 block of Racepath Avenue.

They charged Spivey with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons Unlawful. Judge Jane Mackey set his bond at $50,000.

They charged Smith with Accessory after the Fact of a Felony. Judge Mackey set his bond at $5,000.

Police say the victim told them someone shot at him from a vehicle as he walked on Racepath Avenue. The victim gave police a description of the vehicle and the direction it traveled. Officers found the vehicle and after a brief foot chase, arrested Spivey and Smith.
