DARLINGTON, SC -- Darlington County deputies busted an illegal organized gambling operation on Billy Farrow Highway Saturday.

They seized more than $180,000 in cash along with poker tables, computers, four cars, chips and cards.

"This was a big operation, not just a home game with a few friends", Sheriff Wayne Byrd said.

Deputies say the operation covered not only card playing, but betting on ball games and NASCAR racing.

They cited thirty people with unlawful gaming and betting, which carries a fine up to $500.

Jammy Miller, 44, was charged with operating a gaming house, which carries up to two years in prison or a $2,000 fine. He's been released from jail on a $1,000 bond.
