A Florence County man is jail accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint.

Deputies say Dontrell McFadden kidnapped the woman from her home on Tanyard Street in Timmonsville Wednesday night. They say he forced her to drive to a field a few miles off of Darlington Street.

The woman managed to get away and called police.

McFadden is charged with kidnapping, burglary and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
