A home on Clipper Drive in North Myrtle Beach caught fire during strong storms Thursday afternoon.

A woman living in the home says lightning struck the house. The woman and another resident managed to get out safely before the fire spread.

North Myrtle Beach firefighters have not confirmed if the fire was caused by lightning.

One firefighter was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
