State agriculture leaders want you to buy locally grown produce.

The State Agriculture Commissioner held a news conference Friday at the Florence Piggly Wiggly. The grocery store will display the "Certified South Carolina Grown" emblem on all food that comes from the Palmetto State.

The supermarket has set up a display with all sorts of fruits and vegetables that are locally grown.

"The whole point of Certified SC Grown is to make it easy to identify, make it easy to select it no matter whether you like to shop at a Piggly Wiggly or the other outlets that you can go to," said Hugh Weathers, the South Carolina Agriculture Commissioner.

Agriculture officials say locally grown produce is healthier, fresher and tastier
