Marion Police Chief Willie Smith says he expects Solicitor Ed Clements to ask the SC Attorney General's Office to determine if charges should be filed against Marion Police Lieutenant Farmer Blue.

State police are investigating Blue on allegations of misconduct.

We're told the investigation centers around money the lieutenant took for bench warrants issued to a woman.

Sources tell us the investigation started December at the request of the police department.
