NewsChannel 15 has learned the HB Robinson Power Plant in Hartsville had a second fire late Sunday night.

Officials tell us the fire began in an electrical panel inside a breaker room. We're told it was the same area where a fire started earlier Sunday evening, but in a different breaker room.

A spokesperson for the plant, Andy Cole, says the second fire required them to declare an alert with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a part of their emergency response organization plan.

The alert was lifted after about two and a half hours.

Cole says he isn't sure when the plant will resume normal operations.

He says they will continue to investigate what caused the fires.
