The Myrtle Beach Fire Department was called to Willow Run Apartments off Greens Boulevard near Broadway at the Beach this afternoon, when smoke was seen billowing out of the top of one of the buildings.

Assistant Fire Chief Dan Cimini says the fire started in a dryer in the laundry room and spread to the ceiling.

The fire was in a building separate from the apartments, so no units were damaged.
