The Sun Cruz Casino boat will return to the Grand Strand and bring more than 200 jobs with it.
The Coastal Workforce Center, part of the South Carolina Employment Security Commission, will begin interviewing applicants at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11th at the former Sun Cruz Casino Port building at 4495 Mineola Avenue in Little River.
The Casino Cruise Job Fair will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Thursday of this week and again on Tuesday, March 16th. Michelle Pickering, spokesperson for CWC, notes that there are 28 different types of jobs available, many of which will require several individuals in order to maintain daily operations.
Pickering says they are looking for people with outgoing, friendly personalities. Each candidate will fill out an application at the job fair. Additional applications will be made available at all three area local workforce centers in Conway, Myrtle Beach and Georgetown.
Every applicant will be required to complete a drug screen and background check. These will be done further into the process by the casino company. Any other documentation necessary would be specified during the process of interviewing candidates.
