Detectives with the Horry County Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred over the weekend in Myrtle Beach.

Saturday around 10:50pm, officers responded to the Scotchman store at 1202 Port Dr. in the Myrtle Beach area.

When they got there, the clerk said a man had come in and asked for cigarettes. When the clerk turned around to get them, she was told to stay calm and to take the money out of the register. The clerk told police she saw the man's hand in his sweatshirt pocket pointing something at her. The robber took an undisclosed amount of money and ran off.

The robber is described as a white, 5' 7," 180 lbs., with brown hair and distinguished acne scars on his face.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information leading to the identity of the suspect to contact the Horry County Police Department at 915-5350.
