Myrtle Beach Police have released a list of possible charges against the suspect in a domestic stabbing and deadly wreck.
Investigators say the following charges are pending against 28 year old Johnny Samuel Foster, Assault and Battery With Intent to Kill, Assault While Resisting Arrest, Possession of weapon during the commission of a Violent Crime and 2 counts of Felony DUI.
Myrtle Beach Police say Foster was on the run from police following a domestic stabbing when he ran a red light and killed an innocent woman Monday night.
According to the incident report, police were called to a home on Brown Pelican Drive for a possible domestic incident. When they arrived they witnessed Foster arguing with a woman. Police say they saw Foster throw an object across the street, get into a burgundy Ford Expedition, and drive off.
Police then determined that the woman he was fighting with had been stabbed in the stomach. They recovered a knife at the scene. A short time later they learned that Foster had been involved in the wreck at the intersection of Highway 501 and Seaboard Street.
Police say Foster was driving from the beach end of Highway 501 toward Conway when it appears he ran the stop light at Seaboard Street in his red Ford Explorer.
He slammed into two other cars. 53-year-old Cheryl Byrd from Pawleys Island was driving one of the cars. She died at the scene. The other was airlifted to Wilmington.
Police say Foster was still combative after wrecking. They say he assaulted the medics on scene, and on the way to the hospital.
The victim of the stabbing was taken to South Strand Hospital and was later transferred to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. We're told her injuries are not life threatening.
Police are still looking for witnesses in this case. They say they need help piecing it together. If you saw anything Monday night, call 843-918-1382.
