Horry County Police have confirmed the suspect wanted in connection with the murder of his girlfriend in Murrells Inlet earlier today, is dead.

Sgt. Robert Kegler says the suspect has killed himself. They say he was in his home on Countryside Drive off Burcale Road in Forestbrook. Police negotiated with him for about an hour before Kegler says Bryant committed suicide.

The suspect is 40-year-old Keith Wyatt Bryant. The victim is Sheinia Wilson, 29, of Myrtle Beach.

Johnson says she was shot several times. It happened at the Kangaroo Convenience store on Wachesaw Road in Murrells Inlet this morning.

The sheriff's office says just before 11:00 this morning, Bryant met up with Wilson, and got into a confrontation with her at the gas pumps. They say Wilson ran from the gas pumps toward the store in an attempt to get away from Bryant. When she got to the parking spaces at the front of the store, she ran to a bystander's vehicle in an attempt to get away. Deputies say while she was trying to get into the car, Bryant fired several shots, hitting her.

Wilson was then taken by the bystander to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Substation which is located on Murrells Inlet Road. Once sheriff's deputies and EMS arrived, the victim was then taken by EMS to the Waccamaw Hospital where she later died.

In addition to being wanted for murder, Bryant was also wanted for Assault with the Intent to Kill on the bystander.

We will bring you more details as we get them.
