Freestyle Music Park has asked for more time to pay off old debts left over from the theme park's former owner.
In court documents filed Thursday, Freestyle's attorney says the park has always intended to pay off the $570,000 in outstanding debt from Hard Rock Park. But it's been unable to make the payments due to difficult conditions brought on by the weak economy.
The park says it's in negotiations with new investors, but the deal won't be final until mid to late January.
