After eight hours of testimony Wednesday, a protest hearing on last Tuesday's election results in Atlantic Beach will be continued until at least next Tuesday.

Two write-in candidates won last Tuesday's town council elections. The residency of both candidates was in question at Wednesday's hearing, which was postponed last Saturday. The write-ins, Carolyn Cole and Windy Price beat out two incumbents, Charlene Taylor and Josephine Isom.

Both Isom and Taylor and a third candidate, Paul Curry, filed protests.

Officials say the election commission members will look at their calendars and figure out when they can continue the hearing next week.
