Here's how you can show you're thinking about the people serving our country in the military this holiday season.

The American Red Cross is doing its "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program again this year.

They're asking folks to send holiday cards directed to any service member, family or veteran so they'll know that people are thinking about them this time of year.

"Especially around the holidays, the military tend to get very depressed and dejected and they're out there fighting for our rights so we want to send them cards to give them encouragement," said Karen Anderson, Coastal Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Send your cards to: Holiday Mail for Heroes

PO Box 5456

Capitol Heights, Maryland

20791-5456

Cards must be sent by December 7th.
