There is a manhunt going on in the Cades community, in Williamsburg County.
It follows a high speed chase that started in Clarendon County and Came through Lake City.
The suspect fled in the woods near Cades.
Officials say shots have been fired.
They asked for the Florence County sheriff's office dog team to help in the search.
