One year ago, our own Joel Allen was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Since then he's undergone treatment including surgery and is cancer free.

Joel has used his experience to spread the word about the importance of cancer screenings through his online blog. His latest entry "one year later" is a message to everyone about not waiting until it's too late.

Joel has been an inspiration to all of us here, and through emails and comments on the website, we know he has been for many of you.
