The US Coast Guard responded to a call of two fishermen in distress about 20 miles off the coast of Myrtle Beach around 9:30 Friday morning.

The men were clinging to a life raft after their 63 foot boat sank.

The Coast Guard station in Charleston tells NewsChannel 15 another fisherman overheard the distress call and actually reached the two men before the Coast Guard arrived.

The two men were then taken by the Coast Guard to shore. We're told the men are fine.
