Horry County Schools Superintendent Dr. Cindy Elsberry earned an outstanding performance evaluation after her first year as Superintendent, according to the district.

Dr. Elsberry received her annual performance evaluation from the Board of Education on November 2nd, according to a news release from Horry County Schools.

The School Board said it agreed that Dr. Elsberry's performance during her first year of employment was outstanding and acknowledged her professional ability, commitment to the community, and hard work under challenging circumstances, particularly in light of statewide budget cuts.

Having concluded that Dr. Elsberry's performance was outstanding, the School Board voted to extend her contract for two additional years, or until June 30, 2013.
