North Myrtle Beach Mayor Marilyn Hatley has won her bid for re-election.

In the city council race, Greg Duckworth is the winner of the Windy Hill Ward, Terry White wins the Ocean Drive Ward and Bob Cavanaugh takes the at-large seat.

According to election officials there will be no runoff election.

This will be Marilyn Hatley's third term as mayor. Politically, she's been popular with voters in North Myrtle Beach, despite some questions earlier this year over the Horry County Wildfire and the city's response.

"I have given as much as I possibly can," Hatley said, "And will give them four more years the same way to do whatever is best to make our community the best community in South Carolina."

There will be a whole lot more to say about the dirty politician behind all the dirty politics that preceded this election. The people have spoken and soon it will be time to settle the score with the little man behind the slanderous smear tactics that we all witnessed. So little man kiss your future goodbye. Now that the election is over it is time to clean out some closets. Some of your accomplices' should come on out and make amends before you and the rest of them are outed by the decent citizens that know who you are and believe in integrity. I am so glad that the good leadership of are fine town were able to fight against the kind of slime that has been lurking in the back ground. So you people need to run and hide and be seen no more.
