NewsChannel 15 has learned that a paving contractor with a record of questionable business practices who was arrested Wednesday in Florence County, was doing business on the Grand Strand as recently as this past week.

Tommy Clack ran Horry County Paving for a few months.

The Better Business Bureau called him a high-pressure salesman who ripped off customers.

After we ran a story on Clack in July, NewsChannel 15 learned he'd left Horry County and was headed to the Florence area.

Florence police say Clack turned himself in on four charges of obtaining goods under false pretenses.

The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation also served a cease and desist order on Clack for commercial work.

NewsChannel 15 got a call Thursday from a business owner on the Grand Strand who said Clack had just done work for him this week.

That business owner has contacted police in Florence and here on the Grand Strand.
