Horry County Coroner Robert Edge has identified the man killed in wreck near Aynor Wednesday night.

Edge says 45-year-old David Mathias of Galivants Ferry died on the scene when his car smashed into a tree on Edwards Road off Highway 319.

It happened around 11pm, Wednesday.

Another passenger in the car, a woman, was taken to Conway Medical Center. Her condition has not been released.

The accident victim is my brother and I will miss him Dearly! I wish people down in the Aynor area would keep their comments to themselves because you are upsetting my family down there. You don't know what happen or why it happen, so stick your nose in your own business and stay out of ours. My brothers last name is spelled MATHIAS not MYTHIAS and not any other way. David I will always miss you and Love you. Your Loving Sister.
