CHESTER, S.C. (AP) -- Investigators in South Carolina say a 41-year-old man was shot and killed by someone standing outside in his yard.
Chester County Sheriff Richard Smith told The Herald of Rock Hill that Eddie Hall was shot once in the head Saturday morning in his Chester home.
Smith says his investigators don't have a motive, but he called the shooter a "coward" and says anyone in the home could have been killed.
The sheriff says deputies are checking if there is any connection between Hall's killing and a nearby report of shots fired about two to three hours earlier.
