18-year-old Daunte Bruce from Florence is charged in a deadly shooting that happened near Marion Street in Florence Saturday.

Lieutenant James Rogers with the Florence Police Department said Bruce shot a 16-year-old Saturday night after the two were involved in a fight earlier in the day.

Florence County Coroner, Bubba Matthews identified the victim as 16-year-old, Bernard Calvin Dixon, Jr from Darlington.

Matthews says Dixon was taken to the hospital Saturday where he later died

Bruce is charged with murder and lynching-first degree.
