Florence County deputies are looking into a shooting that happened on Liberty Street near Johnsonville around 8:25 Wednesday night.

When deputies arrived, they discovered one victim who had been shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. There is no further information available on the victim's condition.

Investigators have identified a person of interest in connection with the shooting incident and are attempting to locate that person for questioning at this time.
