A decision has been reached in a lawsuit filed by a former Latta Middle School student against the district for not letting her to wear Confederate themed clothing.

In 2006, Candice Hardwick, then 15 years old, sued the Latta School District saying it was her constitutional right to wear Confederate clothing.

When she was in middle school, she was suspended two times for it.

Federal documents show a judge has ruled in favor of the school district.

It says administrators are entitled to a certain degree of flexibility in enforcing policies.

The documents say the dress code applies to Confederate Flag clothing.
