The FBI has confirmed they're investigating a former prosecutor in the Pee Dee.

We first told you in May that the FBI was investigating former 4th Circuit Solicitor Jay Hodge to see if he misappropriated funds from Mercy Ministries.

Hodge was on the board of Mercy Ministries, a non profit agency, during his time as 4th Circuit Solictor.

The former director of that agency told us in May, federal agents subpoenaed their financial records. US Attorney Kevin McDonald confirms the investigation was launched several months ago.

Hodge retired as solicitor in November after serving 12 years, but remained on as an assistant solicitor.

He abruptly resigned from that position in May.
