Two arrested for bringing guns to MYR in separate incidents

In the past few days two men have been arrested and accused of having guns in their luggage at Myrtle Beach International Airport.

On Sunday May 17th, officers with the Horry County Police Department's Airport Division were called to the screening checkpoint by the Transportation Security Administration in reference to a prohibited item found in carry-on luggage.

Once on scene, Officers observed a pistol inside the luggage.

The bag was identified as belonging to Wayne Scott Bias, 56 of Lesage, WV. He is charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol. He's out out of jail on bond.

On Tuesday, TSA officials called police to the airport for a second time.

This time officers say they found a pistol in the luggage that belonged to Carlos Junior Higgs, 59 of Murrells Inlet. He's also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol. He's out out of jail on bond.
