A candidate for a seat on city council in Marlboro County says someone is stealing her campaign signs.

Teresa Helton Hood says her signs have been stolen off West Main Street in Bennettsville.

She's running to represent district three in the city council race next month.

Hood filed a police report Tuesday to get to the bottom of who's walking away with her signs.

"I have no idea why or who would do this but it's very irritating to go back and find that your signs are missing," said Helton-Hood.

She says there is an eyewitness who saw a man remove one of her signs, but she didn't get the license plate number of the car he was driving.
