Investigators say it will be at least next week before they figure out what sparked a fire that damaged two Garden City businesses on Thursday.

The fire started around 2:30pm at the Pacific Beachwear Store on Highway 17 Business.

Everyone managed to get out safely.

The Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire chief thinks the fire started in the middle of the store.

Pacific Beachwear is a total loss.

The Painter's Ice Cream, which was connected to Pacific Beachwear, was also damaged.
