The Bi-Lo grocery store donated $500 to Myrtle Beach Helping Hand Wednesday as part of the Grand re-opening of its store on 38th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
"Like with every other business in town, times are lean and the money will come in real handy to help us buy food to supplement our pantry" said Adrian Weatherwax, Myrtle Beach Helping Hand.
Weatherwax adds the pantry is always in need of things like peanut butter and jelly. She says this particular Bi-Lo store has been very good to them over the years, donating both food and money.
The Bi-Lo renovation created 30 jobs.
