Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Conway is just one of the many organizations collecting food and money for the Souper Bowl of Caring.
The children at the church hold big pots before church services to collect money for two local programs.
"They look forward to it every year. I remind them of it and they kind of carry the ball from there," said Pastor Marion Brazell
The point of the Souper Bowl of Caring is to get children involved in a national effort to care for people in their local communities who are hungry.
