Some athletic teams at Waccamaw High School are in better financial shape after a big donation from Island Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Pawleys Island.
The dealership donated $3,000 Wednesday to the Waccamaw High School Booster Club. They donated $20 from each test drive of three of its cars to the Booster Club.
"Whatever we can do to help kids become a better generation, I mean, support them to become better adults and what needs they have because kids don't really have the means to help themselves," said Terry Holmes with Island Chrysler.
The Waccamaw High School Athletic Booster Club supports 30 teams that have 400 athletes.
