Conway Medical Center employees are making sure the community has what it needs outside of the hospital walls.
The annual giving campaign is in the Carolina Spotlight.
Employees donated money throughout September to the Conway Medical Center Foundation.
They exceeded their goal, raising $70,375.45.
"The fact that we not only met our goal, but exceeded it, speaks volumes to the commitment of our employees, physicians, volunteers and vendors. We are so grateful that even in this down economy, so many people stepped up to donate money that will be so beneficial for the hospital, " said CMC Foundation Executive Director Berns Massey in a press release.
The money will be used for things like the hospital's Healthreach program, which helps people with no health insurance, a nursing scholarship fund, and the diabetes initiative.
