The First Baptist Church of Surfside Beach wants to make sure you are protected from the sun by giving away free sunscreen on the beach.

Volunteers set up in a trailer in front of the Surfside Beach pier. They work seven days a week and provide lotions to soothe sunburns, meat tenderizer to heal jellyfish stings and cold water.

"It shows the love of Jesus that we can come out and do this ministry and more people come by and say how they appreciate it," says Joyce Motter, a volunteer.

Motter has been volunteering for more than six years and met people from all over the world.

If visitors need directions or just want a friendly person to talk to, the First Baptist Church sunscreen trailer is the place to go.
