In a news release, North Myrtle Beach City spokesperson Nicole Aiello announced the termination of two public safety officers suspended earlier this week.
Interim public safety director, Major Walt Floyd and Lieutenant Don Repec were fired following their suspensions this week.
City leaders say taped recordings by former police officer Randy Fisher revealed derogatory remarks by the two, including sexually explicit comments about a 14-year old girl and a female employee of the department.
The new interim public safety director is Captain Rick Buddelmeyer.
