Three years ago, Extreme Makeover Home Edition was in Horry County to build a new home for Renee Wilson and her four grandchildren. Now, Renee's spending as much time as possible at the build for the Suggs family.
She's there not just to watch the build, but she comes to work.
For Renee, it's all about giving back. She says she's so grateful for everything that was done for her, she wants to do all she can.
She says this build brings back so many memories for her, and three years later, it still hasn't all sunk in.
"I am so happy. I mean it's so hard for me to believe when I wake up in the morningtime. I'm like oh my God. You know now still in my house, I look and I touch the walls and I say, oh my God, Lord I thank you, and I give him all the glory."
Thursday evening, Renee and her four grandchildren will all be helping with the Extreme Canned Food Drive. They'll join students representing all schools in the North Myrtle Beach area at the Walmart at Gator Hole Plaza in North Myrtle Beach. They'll be there from 5pm-6:30pm collecting canned foods for the drive.
