The prep work is underway Tuesday, for the Extreme Makeover Home Edition house that will be constructed off Cane Branch Road in Horry County over the next seven days.
The foundation was poured this morning, prior to demolition. That's because the new house is being built in a different area on the property. They are right on schedule according to the crew.
At 5:00 this evening, the demolition of the old home will begin. The big surprise will be "how" they choose to tear the house down.
When EMHE built Renee Wilson's home in Horry County in 2007, they used a giant golf club to smash the old house - a tribute to Myrtle Beach being known as the golf capitol of the world.
NewsChannel 15's Allyson Floyd will be live from the demolition tonight on NewsChannel 15 at 6 and 7.
If you want to see the demolition, you must be 18 or over (ID's will be checked) and you can click here for directions to the location and details about when to arrive.
The Suggs family is in Disney World while their new home is being built. You can read background on their story here.
They'll arrive back around 12:30 Monday afternoon, when Ty Pennington, the show's host, will yell "Move That Bus!" and the family will see their new home for the first time.
The builders and volunteers will construct the home in about 106 hours.
