Two people are still recovering after a fatal accident in the Pee Dee this weekend.

SC Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 76 in Marion County, just outside of Marion.

Troopers say a pickup truck pulled out of Sheppard Road, onto Highway 76, when that truck was hit by a tractor-trailer.

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson says the driver of the pickup, 50-year-old Eric Murphy of Marion was killed.

A passenger in his truck was air-lifted to New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington, while the driver of the tractor trailer was taken to McLeod Hospital in Florence.
