The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office has arrested 2 people in connection with 20 burglaries in the county.
Sheriff Fred Knight says Dewayne Everett Quick, 31, of McColl and Kimberly Dawn Brigman, 38, of Laurinburg, NC, were both arrested Tuesday.
On Tuesday, deputies responded to a burglary on Hwy 83 outside Clio. While deputies were on scene, they got a call about another burglary down the road.
When they got to the second burglary, deputies say Quick ran into a field behind the home. The sheriff's office says it used a bloodhound tracking team, along with officers from several other agencies, to track Quick who was arrested with Brigman a short time later in a car with a stolen tag.
Deputies say the two were involved with the burglaries of homes, businesses, cars and storage buildings.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone who has purchased any of the stolen merchandise to come forward.
