On average, one in every 150 American children are diagnosed with autism.

There are currently more than 400 families around the Grand Strand who have a family member impacted by autism.

Now, those affected in Horry County are on the verge of having more support.

Autism Now, a local organization promoting autism awareness, held a fundraiser in Myrtle Beach Saturday.

Donations were collected to help raise funds to build in Horry County the first permanent clinic for children with autism.
