Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident on Singleton Ridge Road at Highway 544.

Horry County Fire Rescue tells us one person has died.

Our news crew on the scene reports an Horry County Police cruiser was involved in the crash.

The officer is not the person who died in the crash, but that officer was taken to the hospital.
