State health officials have wrapped up their investigation into a BBQ event held for US Representative Henry Brown that ended with more than 30 people getting sick.

The appreciation dinner for Brown was held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on May 28th, but the food was brought in by an outside source.

More than 30 guests came down with gastrointestinal problems.

Health regulators took samples and found out a bacteria contaminated the food, which they say was most likely improperly handled.

DHEC says no enforcement action will be taken against the man who provided the food, but they say he's promised never to cater again.

**A previous version of this article incorrectly stated this event was a fundraiser for Congressman Brown, but it was not a fundraiser.**
