(AP) -- SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 39-year-old Dorchester County man accused of killing a mentally handicapped woman and putting her in a ditch attributes her death to rough sex.

Dorchester County sheriff's Capt. Tom Marshall told the Post and Courier of Charleston that David Cameron Marsh told investigators he had consensual sex with the victim that involved choking.

Coroner Chris Nisbet says the 30-year-old victim died Dec. 1 from strangulation and that her death could not be an accident.

Deborah Kessler was reported missing Dec. 3. Her body was found Sunday in a ditch behind Marsh's home near Summerville.

Marsh was charged Monday with murder. He was denied bail and remains in jail. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

I can't help but wonder where all these family members are coming from. After 12 years of being married to David, no one has ever shown the slightest interest in him. Til now. I sincerely want to express my sympathy to Miss Kesselers family. I feel their pain. NO ONE knows David better than me. I'm not his pretend wife. Or alleged baby mama. I'm sorry for his actions. But its in gods and the systems hands now.

Wow! This is alot! First of all let me give my condolsences to the bereaved family of the young woman. This is a sad time for us all, the family who lost their member to an untimely and tragic death and another family whose lost their cousin, father, son, boyfriend, daddy and husband to the system. Lets not start throwing around nasty things about the deceased as well as the last person to have been with her. Lets see how much of what David has admitted to is all true and of course lets try to get him help as well. I am sure this isn't easy for him to having been a major part of this drastic and tragic situation. I am really lost for words right now, all I can say is if anyone believes in the power of prayer, now is the time exercise your power and PRAY!

THE MAN ACCUSED

Posted by FAMILY MEMBER, SOUTH CAROLINA - Friday, January 09, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

THE MAN ACCUSED IS BEING PAINTED WITH A HEAVY AND ONE SIDE BRUSH. MS.KESSLER DID NOT DESERVE TO LOSE HER LIFE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. HOWEVER SHE WAS ENGAGED IN HIGH RISK SEXUAL BEHAVIOR KNOWN FOR PROSITUTION. NOTHING WAS MENTIONED OF HER MENTAL HANDICAP UNTIL SHE WAS REPORTED MISSING BY A BOYFRIEND THAT GOT CAUGHT ILLEGALLY ATTEMPTING TO CASH HER MONTLY CHECK. THE SAME BOYFRIEND THA WAS A LOW LEVEL CRACK DEALER THAT USED HER BODY AS PAYMENT FOR DRUGS, THAT CLAIMED SHE WAS OKAY AND HE HAD JUST SEEN HER. THE SEEDY-SIDE OF THIS STORY IS BEING CLOUDED OVER. I AM REALLY SORRY TO READ THIS ONE SIDED ARTICLE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE MAN ACCUSED WAS NOT ALONE IN THIS ROUGH SEX PLAY BEHAVIOR I HEAR.
